West Newbury Police Invite Residents to Donate Toys for Kids in Need
WEST NEWBURY – Chief Art Reed announces that the West Newbury Police Department will participate in the Toys for Tots program this holiday season.
West Newbury police have already begun collecting toys, and will continue the toy drive until Dec. 15. The police department has been participating in the Toys for Tots program for the last several years. Toys for Tots was founded by the U.S. Marine Corps in 1947 and has provided toys to children all over the country ever since.
“We are proud to contribute to Toys for Tots, and we’re always inspired by the support that our entire community shows for the holiday toy drive,” Chief Reed said. “Every donation can have an impact on a kid in need and make their holiday memorable.”
Residents can donate new, unwrapped toys for children ages infant to 16 in the lobby of the police station, 401 Main St. The donation box is available 24 hours a day.
